I thought I’d share a few new blogs I follow with you:
Operation Rubber Boot – My cous Tolly and her boyfriend Matt have gone on a round the world trip for something like 18 months. It’s early days but the photos so far are fantastic! I think they’re experiencing some downs but mostly ups. She’s gonna miss a lot family-wise but she’ll come back to exciting stuff.
Crossing Africa – One of these two is a friend of JJ I think. They are crossing Africa from Cape to Cairo on 200cc (small, apparently) motorbikes. Although I still have no desire to actually go to these far off places, I do like to hear about them, and this is a good blog through which to do so.
Oh She Glows – Also via JJ, I don’t know this person – not even indirectly. It’s a vegan recipe blog and the food I’ve tried is rather nice! I convert it to vegetarian (I do not do soya milk or Sheeze, bleugh). I’m eating Overnight Oats (there are various versions of – I make the blueberry and banana ones) every breakfast and love them – and I hate porridge. I like that it’s cold, and I like the texture, and I like that it’s ready to eat – hard enough for me to get up in the morning, let alone prepare food.
Random aside, I accidentally googled ‘Kailyn’ rather than navigating here earlier and discovered that 1) it’s a person in a program called Teen Mom and 16 and Pregnant (good start) and 2) it means ‘slender’ (lol) and is Gaelic. Of course, being neither slender nor a teenage mother, the origin of my pseudonym is completely unrelated (I was previously Vedek Lyn – yay for promotion) and is pronounced to rhyme with ‘pie tin’ instead, whereas the name is ‘kay-lin’.
This however, I don’t understand. I suspect someone who is called Kailyn wrote 1 and 2, and someone who knows Kailyn wrote 3.
