All's fair in love and megalomaniacy

A certain friend mentioned that she had “unfinished business” with a certain interest of mine, and that she intended to finish this business at some point. *raises twitchy eyebrow* Bring it on, sister…

I thought maniacy was a word. Apparently it isn’t. This suprises me as I believe there is a niche there. To behave in a manical manner, for example, could be said to be partaking in maniacy. “Maniacy” (for those not convinced) is pronounced “man-eye-ass-eee” as opposed to “main-ee-ack-ee”. If you are going to use unofficial words, at least pronouce them correctly.

The reason I bring this up is that I have taken to indulging in megalomaniacy – i.e. the playing of “rule-the-world/zoo/dungeon” games. I even ordered Dungeon Keeper 2, despite not having finished DK1 or even started Deeper Dungeons. The lure of better graphics was too strong, and it was only about £4 including delivery (gotta love Amazon Marketplace). Tempted to get Zoo Tycoon 2, although that is a little more expensive at £16 not including postage. Fantastic sunsets though, which makes up for the (I feel) excessively simplified game play (I’ve tried the demo).

Honey project version n (i.e. I’ve lost count) is thus far going well and should be the final version of it. Hopefully tomorrow and Friday will be quick little days in and out leaving me to recuperate for a few afternoons and the weekend before week 25 of 48 (13 of 28 in college) begins the 8 week surgery stretch. That should be fun…
