Jamie’s 30 minute meals: pizza dough

Just watching Jamie’s 30 Minute Meals and liked this recipe so thought I’d take notes 😉

Pizza Dough

1 cup self-raising flour 275g
1/2 cup water
Pinch salt
Drizzle olive oil

  • Add everything (some water, not all) to mixer.
  • Whizz it up
  • Add rest of water, then add little bits of flour until it comes together to make an elastic dough (a little sticky, but not too wet)
  • Flour surface
  • Bring into ball
  • Roll it out, 1cm thick
  • Fold it in quarters
  • Olive oil in pan (lowish heat)
  • Put dough in and unfold it.
  • Push it up the sides of the pan (pan is smaller than pizza)

Pizza Sauce

1 tin tomatoes in liquidiser
1 pinch salt
1 garlic clove, crushed
Basil, some
Drip some balsamic vinegar
Olive oil splash

  • Add all the above to liquidiser and whizz.
  • Put some on pizza base in pan. Should be rising by now.
  • Add toppings, don’t overload it. Fennel seeds with salami is nice.
  • Drizzle with olive oil.
  • When underneath is getting crispy, put under grill for 4-5 mins to finish.
