Decorum? What’s that?

Today was a momentous day for me. Today, I operated on my own animal for the first time, and to my own considerable suprise I didn’t at any point start panicking! Neither did I trip over a pile of boxes! Today, Spock was castrated.

Spock’s account:

I’ve been to the college to visit the very clever neuro vet.

I took little Pumpkin back to my college last week to see my Neurology lecturer – he thinks she’s very interesting. Her paralysis (which is still slipping slowing worse) is either juvenile polyneuropathy which she could potentially grow out of, or neuritis, which is fatal. The test is prohibitively expensive, so the plan instead is a couple of blood tests just to rule out simple problems and then to wait and see before investigating further.

As for The Naughty One, his new hobby is artificial arboreal ascendence. Yup, climbing the Christmas tree.

He went on to check his own tonsils. To explain the picture below, his right ear is top left, his nose is middle right, and the bright patch in the lower right centre of the picture that looks like a christmas tree light, a tongue and a pair of fangs is indeed a christmas tree light, a tongue and a pair of fangs.

He may not be that clever, my boy, but he is bright…

*uses time productively and reads manual*

Thanks to the Wonders Of The Modern Age and the Infernalnet, I know there are two vans driving around the local area with lots of goodies for me in. This is very exciting. Though it means I can’t go to the loo til they both turn up.

And when they do arrive, I shall be able to sit down and write a Glorious List of all the lovely things I’ve bought, and a hopefully Fairly Short List of all the things I still need to buy.

Grrr – I had 16 minutes to put in an Amazon order to get it by 1pm tomorrow, and I put it in and then went out. When I get back I find the bank has been phoning, and when I phone them back, they inform me they were worried my card was being used fraudulently. So they blocked it. So now my order won’t be here tomorrow.

I appreciate it’s an attempt to protect me and my money, but OBVIOUSLY I’m spending more, IT’S CHRISTMAS.
