I’ve seen the advert.

I’ve watched the film.

We’ve had tinsel at work (not sure if it’s technically suitable for theatre, but there you go).

I’ve ordered the turkey.

I’ve “decorated” my accommodation.

I’ve made four (4!) bottles of fruit flavoured vodka liquor!

I’ve had a package delivered that’s a present for someone else!

I’ve eaten a mince pie (well, half of one today, but many in total…)

I’m going food shopping after midnight on Thursday (avoid the crowds and praise the genius who invented 24 hour Tescos).

Sleigh bells ring, are ye listenin’? In the land, snow is glistenin’. A beautiful sight, now we’re in flight. Flying on the Starship Enterprise!

How can Christmas be in 2 weeks? It can’t. I haven’t bought presents yet.

Ok.

Last scene from Scrubs with Michael J Fox playing OCD sufferer Dr Casey.

I love this scene. Specifically, 02.30 minutes onwards. Scrubs, considering it’s a sitcom, and despite all attempts is truly as deep as a puddle, manages to point out that OCD and similar problems aren’t freakish or deficiencies, but are illnesses that the sufferer has to deal with. It’s almost like problems of a psychological nature are considered a failing of the sufferer; something went wrong when they were made, their problem. This is probably true – most likely they stem back to chemical imbalances etc, but that doesn’t make them any less of a disease. And certainly don’t make them any easier to deal with.
