So, decisions decisions.

Job 1 – nice people, long hours, on call, appalling pay, would have to get accomodation on appalling pay meaning low funds, 3 years fixed term for job, hard work, funnels into a specific area of work with less and less opportunity to branch off, working as a increasingly specialist vet, similar to what I do now but with more work, and I find what I do now sometimes fun, sometimes incredibly stressful.

Job 2 – unknown people (probably nice), 9-5, good pay (twice what Job 1 gives), wouldn’t have to get accommodation as could commute but would get it as need to get on housing ladder (means I can live with my animals again – v. important), no fixed term, unknown work level (probably easier), doesn’t cut off other areas of work immediately but is working as a teacher of vets rather than as an actual vet.

To complicate issues, for Job 1 I need to decide now, whereas Job 2 isn’t advertised and may not be advertised when I finish this year in Nov.

Eck.

Ashes to Ashes

Never watched it before, but watched it on Thursday and did enjoy it – particularly this section:

Ashes to Ashes 7/8

For those who don’t know the story, the woman in blue is from the modern day who’s sent back in time to a detective team in 1981. So she’s aware of the future, no one else is ;)

Go on – try it. Or my personal favourite – CTRL-ALT-down arrow.

FYI, if it works, you’ll be needing the up arrow. ;)

Question of the moment today “Are you an anaesthesia intern or an expert in egg shaped confectionary?” as I expounded upon first the virtues of the marvellous yet calorie-dense creme egg, then moving on to the “lite” option of the kinder suprise, which makes up for the lack of chocolate with the inclusion of a toy (+\- the excitement of the construction of said toy depending on your luck). I have to ask – are the two areas contradictory? Can I not be both?

So holiday over, and I am going through a rather disillusioned patch, trying to decide what to do next. Sotting it out gradually but ’tis tricky. More later!

Bad Blogger, not been blogging. To keep things civilised I’ll update over several days and posts. First, we went skiing! AnM and I went with Dad, AnM and I never having been before. We had a favourite blue run, and went on some terrifying blue runs also (not famed for our adventurous natures are AnM and I). We stayed at Arc 1800, part of Les Arcs in France for 5 days. Here is photographic evidence:

Us all at the cafe halfway down Chantel, drinking latte and eating crêpes!

Skiing Jan 2008 - Poker for Cocopops
AnM and Dad playing poker for the only currency we had in abundance – Coco Pops. Much alcohol was consumed.

Me and AnM on the way (I believe) to Arc 1600 – a lovely peaceful run.
