Which seems like an incredibly cold hearted thing to say. But true – very true. The biggest terrorist attack on London in living memory occurs and we all spend a brief half hour panicking about whether loved ones or friends are involved, and then it fades, and it becomes something not-real, something on the news like all those other not-real things you see on the news, of tsunamis, towers falling, genocide. And life goes on.
At least we can pause.
