I was on call this weekend and got ill Friday – nasty cold virus. Still did the on call but with much help from my second and third on call people. Been off work since, thought I was well enough to do my on call today as the congestion’s all gone, but as I walked over to hospital became dizzy etc and had to ask a friend to cover my on call – feel slightly guilty as the poor girl always ends up covering for people. Still feel dizzy, hot+cold etc. Bleugh. Plus for some reason the buzzing of my laptop is driving me to distraction. Does it normally buzz? Or am I just over-sensitive at the moment?
In other news, Jobs: I applied for a third option – a PhD. It looks fascinating, and although the last time I applied for a PhD I really wasn’t that interested in getting it, this one really appeals to me – more that options 1 or 2 below. It’s about pain relief in cats, and given that I like cats more than I like most people, let alone dogs, and my particular areas of interest currently are ways of providing good post-op pain relief to patients, it suits my interests perfectly. Pay still isn’t great but a flexible working schedule makes up for it.
Immediate aims though are to get rid of this bug.
Nice layout, makes me feel very spring-like 😀
Cats all looking most fetching, as usual!
And happy birthday blog 🙂
Ooo managed to comment under wrong post – clever me! 😀
Feel free to move it if you feel inclined
