Gosh, it’s been a long time since I changed my layout – it’s been 1 1/2 years since Peanut passed away, and it was already in place then. *Checks blog* in fact it was put up August 2006. It’s taken me this long to bring myself to change it! The three images are the Japanese cherry in the front garden, Pumpkin my cat looking over the back lawn (this shot inspired me to change the layout) and the daisies and dandelions of same lawn. The little eggs to the left are just a new cyberpet site I’ve joined that by pure coincidence match my new layout – spooky.
Anyway, today was the first sunny day I haven’t worked on this year, and I celebrated in the time honoured fashion by spending the day sitting and reading, talking with mum and forays into the garden with feline accompaniments. Lovely!
Pumpkin, star of the seasonal layout, spent most of the day either sleeping or yelling to go into the garden. She ate quite a lot of grass today, though preferred to sit on the patio. Happy little cat!
Darling Chill, with her annual daisy chain. Jealous of me spending time with Pump in the garden (it normally being mine and Chill’s time) she came out to join us. She gets a daisy chain every year and as always wore this one until it fell apart after about 5 hours.
Fe’s too reserved to laze, and spent her free time trying to sit with all four feet in the space of a postage stamp. She did take the time to prove she can occasionally be photogenic. And I got several photos of her looking this good – Ding will tell you this is a rare occurrence! As she’s so shiny she often looks hideous in photos 😉
And Spock – who hasn’t been very naughty today at all! Yet still has the need for a snooze in the afternoon. He never looks at the camera as he associates it with a flash and knows better than to stare at it.
Thom spent about 30 seconds in the garden, rolled over a few times and went exploring so he escaped being snapped today. There’s still tomorrow…
And happy birthday blog! Blog is 4 years and 4 days old today! As a birthday present for it I’ve upgraded (nothing you can see on the outside – the new layout is a coincidence) and I’m going to play with some plugins.
EDIT @ 00.54 – got him! Not lazin’, but worried about the visitors, but at least it completes the set! Here’s Thom, back from a busy day of cat stuff.
