I spent this evening setting up my new bed in my new little box room. It is a loft bed from Ikea, and will end up with me sleeping with my head 1 foot from the ceiling. Luckily I’m a claustrophile, and this isn’t a problem. I can just stand up underneath it, so I effectively have the entire room for furniture and me, and a bed 2 feet from the ceiling.
There’s no mattress on it yet as I’m still sleeping downstairs, but I’ve installed my piece de resistance: a string of 10 gently orange glowing dragonflies plus a solitary standing one for the desk. They are just adorable – totally adorable. I should have bought more. But that would have been excessive.
When the room is finished I’ll take photos and show you all. It’s going to be darling!
