She’s called Philly 🙂 80gigs, Celeron, 512mb RAM, DVDRW, TFT, speakers, wireless optical mouse and keyboard, plus colour printer/scanner/copier. Bought from Tescos of all places! Security guard thought I was trying to nick it. It barely fitted in my car boot. I could hardly have snuck out with it. Bar a slightly suspicious refusal to boot on restart it appears ok… Most importantly, it doesn’t have a hissy fit when I rip cds. Joy!
Sonata phoned today, and I like that her first question to my “I’ve just bought a new computer!” exclamation was “Does it have a name yet?” Bear in mind I’d just walked through the door with it. And yes, at that point it was already called Philly. The iPod is called George. They are currently getting aquainted 🙂
