The show must go on

Due to a server failure and a run of bad luck, my blog got et. Luckily, being the hoarder I am, I’d backed it up in June. So only a month or so of blog lost. Ne’ermind. My laptop crashes a couple of years ago taught me to accept the loss of data and memories calmly.
Tomorrow I get t’internet! And t’phone and t’digital TV, although my ancient TV that lacks even phono sockets let alone a scart socket can’t actually connect to cable. So I’s getting myself a TV too at some point.

Other than that, what other news was deleted? Final year holiday in Magaluf in July was an experience, Grad Ball (the Final Fling) was a huge success but very sad to be never seeing most people again, oh and I passed and am now a working vet! And I went to Stratford-Upon-Avon and discovered a newfound-previously-thought-non-existant love for Shakespeare acted properly, oh and I went to Soton to visit sister and Little Chef in her home territory. Typical that the month that gets et should be one of the most eventful of the last two and a half years.

I’m enjoying my job – it was a trial by fire in the first week, what with being on call on day 2 (yikes!) and being in charge of wards for the first two weeks. Now it’s a bit quieter as we’ve taken on another vet too, one who happened to be in my year at college, so it’s all good. The branch surgery I’m attached too (seems like 1 day a week will be spent there) has a nurse who’s as mad about rabbits, guinea-pigs and rats as me, and we’re hoping to go somewhere with that. My flat is nice, bar somewhat inconsiderate neighbours, although I’ve discovered a glass of wine soon makes their rather crap stupidly loud jazz music almost bearable. Wait – my flat was a dive when I moved it. It’s nice now we’ve removed the ciggy butts and beer cans. And got someone to remove the Tesco’s trolley. This weekend was almost civilised; parental units visiting on Sat for tea and cakes and them bringing the Beast (now featured on the banner above) with them, plus some more furniture, and Nice Housemate from the old house visiting on Sunday, where we had sunday lunch, watched Kronk’s New Groove (AnM, I still have that btw) and walked to the seaside and sat on the sea wall watching high tide.
