Out for dinner tonight for A’s birthday, spent the evening laughing so hard we got headaches! This was my starter – black pudding, frizzy salad (frissee?) and a poached egg. Rump of lamb with caponata (we Googled it too) and spinach for main. Pudding apple crumble and ice cream. Nom! Lovely food though service in this particular haunt of ours is never what one would call speedy!
