Lappy is back 🙂 Was actually sent back 22nd but they phoned some random person (possibly my grandmother for an unknown reason) so we didn’t expect it – they delivered it to a neighbour 2 houses away! Rather careless thing to do with a computer one thinks…
While lappy was away, Dad found and stole my speakers (my computer they had been attached to has been given to my sister, but I’d been using them for my lappy for months). I was not impressed. He also removed and no doubt threw away my lucky picture of Janeway stuck on one of the speakers. *miffed* It’s only fair anyway – he wants them on his work computer that has reasonable inbuilt speakers and I want them for a laptop that has speakers that a mouse would find insufficient. So I have stolen them back, and no deals will be made for ransom.
Rabbit is ill again – won’t bore you with the now repeatative details. She has gut stasis again, we went to vets tonight, she’s on twice daily oral medicine, she’s in a mood with me. All is normal in the world.
Halloween was fantastical! It was at Ann-Marie’s flat in Docklands, I went as the Queen Rat and Ann-Marie’s housemate could do fete style makeup so we all looked very authentic! We decorated the entire flat, including the corridor with flickering flame lightbulbs, a really evil pumpkin (or perhaps he’s just misunderstood?), eerie music, and the piece de resistance, the bathroom light decided to start doing that flickering thing they do when the capacitor thingie is breaking (technical terms here) and intermittently turn on and off. We celebrated this timely breakdown and another housemate took red posterpaint to the bathroom a la horror movie! Everywhere – walls, sink, loo, bath, showercurtain… We also played many seasonal games such as Apple Bobbing, the Flour Game, I Never…, Donuts on Strings. I’m feeling a little whelmed at the moment. I wanted to finish my project by 1st Nov, but due to being ill last week I haven’t. It’s due in 2 weeks. Also I have a test on Friday on the last 7 weeks of work, and end of year exams in 6 weeks. So yes, the pressure is on. To cope I have ran home – can’t deal with messy housemates and all that cooking and shopping lark, plus they’re resurfacing my road so I wouldn’t be able to park there. So jumped ship and home have run. I shall now go and get on with said project.
