I finished my presents for Leo and James some time ago, but didn’t post the finished images. They now both have them and my cousin sent a lovely text yesterday saying how they both used them constantly! The purple one was my first attempt but it was rejected for the tighter blue and yellow ones – they were made with a smaller hook which gives a tighter pattern.
On seeing the purple one JJ at work declared she wanted one, so I got some aran yarn (rougher) and made one for her in her favourite colours.
I’m using the spare yarn from this to make myself a shawl, plus including the yarn Grandma gave me. It’s looking good but is by far the largest piece of work I’ve done yet and will be a good while before finished I think.
I’m also working on a blanket for B&V’s baby-to-be – a granny blanket in alternating blue and purple with yellow and white. The sex is unknown so hopefully it ends up looking fairly amiguous!
Then I got a new diary – specially ordered from Photobox to help me organise my life. It’s not a to-do list, it’s a to-done list, so I can see what I achieve rather than forget what I’ve done and feel like I haven’t done anything, and also so I can’t let days go by without noticing I actually haven’t done anything 😉 Photoboxing it means a) it’s expensive and b) it’s full of pictures of things that are important to me, so I am more likely to use it. Anyway, it needed a bookmark. So I crocheted one.
This is apparently a “book thong” – not mad keen on the name lol but it is pretty accurate!
