My Couture Is Hauter Than Yours…

Whilst stomping round Tescos I was in a foul mood, well prepared to put “miserable” as my Mood for the day. However I got home, made myself some paprika chicken, found my package had arrived, got a text from the Frog saying she’d be online, and the sun came out. Things are looking up!

The package was my order from The Rat Warehouse, a online rat shop run by Sonata (see Innocent Bystanders). It contained this marvellous Igloo that I ordered, and because I know the seamstress it also had scraps of very nice check fleece and some ratty muffins!

To assist identification, the red is the igloo, the check is the scraps and the brown and white thing in the centre is a grouchy old rat.

Another joyful happening related to this was I got to eat some muffin (much to the rat’s annoyance) and look – I got a free scarf that matches my fetching chenile housecoat! Yup, the flash loves me – it really does.

The reason for my gloom was a combination of the weekend’s misadventures, my massive to-do list that is growing by the hour, and news that I’d received bad feedback from a EMS (work experience) placement. They said something about me not being interested – I’m going to get the details from my tutor at a later date. Chuffed I was not. :plain: I spend my entire life being torn between wanting to not be treated differently and wanting to go around with a big sign saying “I was deaf, don’t expect much talking” on my shirt. It’ll be interesting to see what the second placement said – if they say the same then it’s me, if they give me an ok report then I’m hardly likely to have changed personalities over a weekend so who’s left to attribute any problems to…?

Also following my deliberations about the rat, he only went and stopped bloody eating yesterday. :plain: So it’s a total chocolate diet now to keep his energy up. We’ll see.

Sun, scarf, food, igloo, frog, thinking positive!
